Five Flies coffee shop

Every neighborhood in Greater New York City has an unofficial gathering place where people feel very comfortable to hang out and spend their days. They bring their computers, have coffee or lunch and make memories with friends.

With charm and ambiance inside and out, Five Flies coffee shop on West 158th Street in Washington Heights is one of those places. It’s timeless; could be today, ten years ago...or even the 1950s. As an abandoned warehouse, this 1900 square foot space has been turned into a sleek Swedish style coffee bar with tables for about 25 or 30 customers. As you enter, grab a coffee and walk from the front of the place to the charming back room which is large enough to hold several sofas, has four different seating areas and enough space to park your bike. It's a great and inspiring space.
