Gotham, the dark, successful TV show which airs on the Fox Network, is in its fourth season. And like many of the successful TV series that shoot in New York City, their Location Manager is very mindful of the impact the production crew has on the residential neighborhoods where they want to shoot.
It’s about being a good citizen.
True, they took valuable parking on the Upper East Side. But they also bought endless egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches from local restaurants, made contributions to local neighborhood associations and also made sure that any night shooting had minimal impact on the residents. The cherry picker (right) was brought in specifically to install black-out material on the corner window of a neighboring apartment.
