In addition to the 5+ million visitors who made New York their #1 destination, it turns out that we are also experiencing a real renaissance of filming here. Directors, writers and locations people are pouring in! Both of these phenomenon go hand in hand: When the City looks good in the movies, it is all the more alluring to people who want to see where those romantic/comedic/action scenes took place. Woody Allen’s film, Manhattan, began to change the way people outside of the City saw us. Especially during the bad old 70’s when default was in the air. And those films changed the way we saw ourselves.
